The Sub Pop Singles
ClubVolume 1

The Sub Pop Singles Club Volume 1, which ran from November 1988 to December 1993, was a groundbreaking subscription service from Sub Pop Records. Subscribers received a new, limited-edition 7-inch single every month, featuring a variety of underground and alternative artists, many of whom would later become legends in the grunge and indie rock scenes. The first single, released in November 1988, was "Love Buzz" by Nirvana, marking their debut release. This set the tone for the club, which would feature a blend of established and up-and-coming bands. Some of the most iconic singles in the club included collaborations between Sonic Youth and Mudhoney, as well as releases from Fugazi, L7, and Soundgarden. The club ran for over five years and produced a total of 61 singles, often with unique, colorful vinyl and artwork that appealed to collectors.
